He undertakes all aspects of hand surgery with the exception of wrist injuries and fractures of the wrist. His main clinical interests within hand surgery relate to Dupuytren’s disease, tendon and peripheral nerve injury and surgery for brachial plexus problems including tendon transfer. He in addition undertakes the management of soft tissue sarcomas including nerve sheath tumours.

Reviewer for the European Journal of Hand Surgery, 2004-present.

I have published over 40 papers in medical journals and chapters on hand and nerve surgery in major textbooks

Doctorate of MD was by research into the effect of stretch on the function of peripheral nerves.
